Online Bullet Viewer
The manual for Bullet/X and Bullet/95 is currently available only in
PostScript format (see blt32man.zip). The OS/2 version of Bullet
comes with an online help manual. The files included in this package
are from the OS/2 "Just Add Warp" package, which one can download
from ftp.software.ibm.com. The INF viewer and its related files are
part of that package.
To use, just add these files to a directory in PATH and select or
run it. It works in either Windows 3.1 or Windows 95. In W95 you
may notice that if a DOS-Box is used to start the viewer
C>view [filename] use bullet2.inf as filename
then after exiting the viewer the DOS box seems to not accept any
keystrokes. If this happens, simply move the windows a bit
(grab and move the title bar). After doing this, everything is
as expected. This happens in Win95 at other times, too.
99% of the online form is carried forward by this viewer, with the
exception being the "Bullet Functions" index panel, which has its
font bigger than it is in OS/2. Any resolution can be used, though
at least 800x600 is a good idea.
The content is similar to the paper manual, but has some OS/2-
specific content, and an added tutorial and source excerpts. It
lacks some of the content of the paper manual when it comes to
non-OS/2 parts (Win32 API calls used, for example), but it is
useful if you need an online manual, or don't have any means to
print the paper manual version (see http://www.40th.com/).
