This is the first beta drop of Alpha Data Utilities, Inc. MVS to
AS/400 conversion utilities. The programs will run under both DOS
and OS/2. The batch files can be copied to ".CMD" to execute under
OS/2.
Installation is quite simple. Just copy all of the files into a
subdirectory and add that subdirectory to you path. Several of the
batch files look for control files in a certain subdirectories, the
".bat" files should be modified to point to the directory where you
have placed the files. These areas are flagged with a noted REM
statement. Also if you copy these to ".cmd" files there is a call
to a temporary ".bat" file in each. The area is flagged and the
".bat" should be changed to ".cmd".
The documentation is in file ADUAS400.DOC. Documentation is not my
strong point, if there is sufficient interest in these utilities I
will have the documentation redone.
Three files (aduabend, setupgdg, clnupgdg) need to be moved to the
AS/400 and compiled into the library where you will keep your
compiled CL. These CL programs are called from the CL programs
generated by the JCL migration.
