  18.         ■  A 32-bits driver for OS/2 2.0+ (MARKLIN3.OBJ) has been added, with
  19.            same functionality as MARKLIN2, including the new features below!
  20.         ■  'MKLAPI' now also useable by programs translated with the
  21.            MicroSoft QuickBASIC compiler 4.5.  Since QuickBASIC does not
  22.            allow underscores in names, all externally used names have been
  23.            changed, for example: mklopen() is now called mklopen().  The
  24.            C-language calling convention must be specified in the source (see
  25.            MARKLIN.INC), and the file LMARKLIN.OBJ should be used with LINK.
  26.            All function specifications have been changed, and additions made
  27.            for program development with MicroSoft QuickBASIC compiler 4.5.
  28.         ■  mkltime() is not anymore an external variable, but a function
  29.            returning the value of the time, expressed in milliseconds, but
  30.            with the precision of the timer tick.
  31.         ■  mklmsecs() now also a function returning the time, but in exact
  32.            milliseconds (DOS only).
  33.         ■  With the OS/2 drivers, the transmissions in STOP-state (after
  34.            mklstop) may now be buffered in stead of discarded (until buffer
  35.            full, then discarded).  This depends on the COM.SYS device
  36.            drivers, or replacements thereof.
  37.         ■  After the first mklstop subsequent calls of mklstop are ignored
  38.            and nothing sent to the Märklin-Interface until mklgo has been
  39.            called.
  40.         ■  mklstop() and mklgo() now give a returncode (0 = OK, otherwise a
  41.            transmission problem exists).
  42.         ■  Simple Switchpoint test program (incl c-source) added to MKLAPI
  43.            package.
  44.         ■  Added counters for and a function mklstats() for statistical
  45.            purposes and debugging.
  46.         ■  Polling optimised: a single 'reset after read S88' (192) is issued
  47.            after mklpoll() and mklgo(), subsequently only 'read group of n
  48.            S88s' (128+n) commands are sent periodically (previously both
  49.            commands were sent after each interval).
