Distribution of ShareWare programs written by Steven M. Ryckman are
subject to the following limitations:
1. All original files must be packaged, including and program files
(.EXE), documentation (.DOC), READ.ME and WHATS.NEW files.
None of these files may be modified in any way from their original
content when they left my computer. It is your responsibility
to ensure all files are included in their original content.
I sent the .ZIP file out the way I intended it to reach
the prospective end user. Where it went from there, no one can
really be sure. If you want to distribute it, you verify it.
If the packaging method is still PkZip 2.04g when you receive it
then the -AV verification should be adequate for this.
2. No fee may be charged for them besides a minimul fee of less than
$15.00 for distribution expenses related to diskettes and mailing.
It is your responsibility to inform the receiptant that your fee
does not include registration of the shareware programs and that
they are entirely liable for registering the software with the
author of the software.
3. Distribution is limited to the following types of organizations.
If you are not included in this list and would like to distribute
one of my programs send me e-mail by one of the means listed in
the AUTHOR.DOC file.
a. Computer clubs and user groups. Distribution is limited to
one copy per registered member of the organization and can
be distributed no more than once every six months.
b. Disk of the month organizations. Distribution is limited to
one copy per current subscriber, once a year.
c. Shareware catalogs. Distribution is prohibited except by
catalogs which we have reviewed personally. We will not permit
listing or distribution of my programs in a catalog which we
have reviewed and authorized. There are alot of "bad apples"
in the shareware catalog market. Send me a copy of your
catalog along with a letter stating your intention and I'll
promptly get back to you.
d. Shareware CD-Roms. Distribution is permitted freely so long
as there is some sort of notice about the receiptant needing
to register any included shareware programs included.
4. Private individuals are exempt from these distribution restrictions
so long as they give it to friends and family with no renumeration
received exceeding the actual cost of the diskette.
Site licenses are available for most all of my shareware applications,
contact me by one of the means listed in the AUTHOR.DOC file for more
information on this and pricing.
Sincerely,
Steven M. Ryckman
