ABOUT DeTAIL
DeTail is a bulletin board service provided by Lennane Advanced
Products (LeAP). OS/2 and Presentation Manager developers,
those interested in developing in those environments, and OS/2
users in general are encouraged to use this no-charge BBS.
The DeTail bulletin board service allows you to:
* Obtain upgrades of LeAP's prototype DeScribe editor and
hexadecimal dump program --"DeDump."
* Send and receive mail between BBS users.
* Join the on-line OS/2 Developers forum.
You can logon to DeTail as a subscriber or non-subscriber. As a
subscriber, you must fill out the new user survey to become a
registered DeTail user. Registered users have full access to
the BBS. As a non-subscriber, you can browse through DeTail,
but cannot send or receive mail or download or upload files.
ABOUT THIS DOCUMENT
This document provides general operating instructions for
DeTail. We describe how to log on to DeTail and list the
features which are available through the Main Menu. At the end
of this document, there are some important notes about DeTail
which you should read.

first name and last name to determine if you are a current
subscriber, for example:
Enter your first name .. JOHN

Enter your first and last names at the prompts. If you have
already subscribed to our BBS, DeTail requests your password

NOTE: When a new subscriber enters first and last names that
are identical with a current subscriber, DeTail asks for the
password for the current subscriber. The new subscriber should
press Enter three times at the Password prompt to disconnect
from DeTail, call DeTail again, and logon using a different
first or last name.

list of menu choices or to obtain help (where available).
* Downloading files at 300 baud will be very slow and may be
prohibited for large files.

emptied by SYSOP as follows: 1) messages which have been read
will be deleted every Monday morning, 2) messages which have
not been read will be deleted after two weeks.
* If your name is already assigned to a subscriber, try using a
modification of your first name, such as JANE9, JOHN3, etc.
when you logon a second time.
* DeTail automatically logs off a user when five consecutive
minutes of inactivity have elapsed. No warning is given before
automatic log off.
* DeTail automatically logs off a user when the maximum connect
time has been reached, but allows the current operation (e.g.
download) to finish. The time remaining for a session is
displayed at the top-right of the Main Menu.
