  8.         This useful feature helps you look for problems in your
  9.      setup; with any luck, if you've followed the instructions this
  10.      far, you won't have any problems.  If you DO receive an error
  11.      message upon running VBBS, chances are this program will point
  12.      out where the problem is.

  14.      ╔═╗    It's also a good idea to run the diagnostics if you've
  15.          ╚═╝    made any changes in the PATHS configuration, just to make
  16.         sure VBBS can find everything it needs to run properly.

  18.         If you get a "Path Missing" error, especially when the
  19.         diagnostics are checking the file transfer areas, the
  20.         most probable explanation is that the database has been
  21.         set up in VCONFIG, but the DOS directory for that data-
  22.         base does not exist yet.  If this is the case, you need
  23.         to create that database's directory in DOS.

  30.         That just about does it for VCONFIG.  If your system is
  31.      like most, you'll find that you spend a lot of time using this
  32.      program -- adding new databases, changing various settings, and
  33.      whatnot.  VCONFIG is one of the features that makes VBBS unique
  34.      among BBS softwares -- it presents the sysop with a multitude of
  35.      options with regard to BBS presentation and operation.
