╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝
To list the files available for downloading from the current section,
enter "F" and the sub-command that indicates the desired listing. This
command will display the names and types of the files and a brief
description of each file, entered by the originating user. If there are
multiple up/download paths accessible from the section you are on, then
the system will present you with a list of the directories and prompt
you to select one.
Here is what the commands do for you:
"FF"
This command will list each of the files in the selected directory
FORWARD in alphabetical order.
"FB"
This command allows you to list all files in the selected directory
BACKWARDS by the date on which they were uploaded. Files are displayed
beginning with the most recently uploaded and ending with the first
uploaded.
"FS"
This command will search the file names and descriptions, within the
selected directory, for a string and list only those entries matching
the string.
"FL"
This command will list only those files which have been uploaded to the
selected directory since your LAST logon.
"FG"
This command will search the file names and descriptions, across all
directories for a specific string and will tell you what section and in
what directory for that section the matching file is located. If there
are more than 2,000 files on the entire BBS, then "FG" searches only the
current section, as it takes several days of connect time at 9,600 Baud
to list all the files on many Bulletron(TM) systems.
"FC"
The "FC" command is similar to the "FG" command, in that it searches all
directories on the current section, or all directories on all sections,
but it only shows you files that have been added since your last logon.
"FT"
File descriptions, sizes, dates and other information are stored in an
indexed database for rapid retrieval. The "FT" command shows you the
TRUE disk directory instead of the database contents. You may want to
use this if you suspect that the operator of the system has added files
to the disk through DOS commands, but has not yet updated the database
with descriptions for those files.
"FQ"
This command displays a QUICK listing of just the file names (no size,
date, or description) of the files in the selected directory. This is
similar to the DOS "DIR *.* /W" command.
"FD"
This command allows you to list each of your personal files. Personal
files are generally transferred on the personal mail section and use the
format "YOURACCT.@nn" As each file is displayed, the system asks you if
you wish to DELETE the file. This command is used to delete personal
files, should you choose not to delete them immediately after they have
been downloaded.
"FX"
This command lets you select the directory that will be used for uploads
and downloads until the next time that you change sections. It is not
necessary to use this, because the upload or download command will ask
you to indicate a directory if you have not selected one since changing
sections.
"FH"
