  3. This is the FIDOGATE release 3.0beta. The functionality is almost the
  4. same as in 2.9alpha, the source has been cleared up, and the README,
  5. INSTALL doc files now correspond to the actual version.
  6.  
  7. There are still a lot of things to improve and some bugs to fix,
  8. 3.0beta is an attempt to get FIDOGATE out of the door, not at all a
  9. final release.  See TODO and BUGS.
  10.  
  11. Beware! Some of the command line options of fido2rfc and rfc2fido have
  12. changed!!!
  13.  
  14. See files README and INSTALL how to get this beast up and running.

  16. About patches:

  18.     * Please do send all patches you make to FIDOGATE 3.0beta to
  19.       me. Even if I'm not going to include them in the source code,
  20.       I'll supply them in the contrib directory.
  21.  
  22.     * No reformatting and/or beautifying of the C code, please.
  23.  
  24.     * If you're going to make your own release of FIDOGATE, please
  25.       do include patches against the original FIDOGATE version
  26.       your release is based on.
  27.

  29. details.
