│ We set up this sub-board to demonstrate Bulletron's capabilities for │
│ message matching. Message matching uses a multiple choice │
│ questionnaire, but the questionnaires are associated with the │
│ messages on a sub-board rather than with the accounts. The example │
│ here is a set of messages describing apartments for rent. It could │
│ have been houses for sale, cars or boats of sale, or even a │
│ restaurant guide. The message gives a verbal description of the │
│ apartment, house, car, boat, restaurant, or whatever. Each message │
│ has a matchmaker questionnaire with a dozen or so questions. Each │
│ user gives specific answers to one or two questions, letting the │
│ other questions match anything, and the system returns him a short │
│ list of messages matching his criteria, which he can read in more │
│ detail. We gave this sub-board a basic access level of 10, that │
│ lets anyone, even unverified first time callers read it. We set its │
│ Enter access level to 200, to restrict write access to only a │
│ specific group of people, such as employees of the XYZ Real Estate │
│ Brokerage. We set the message expiration at 60 days, as apartments │
│ tend to get rented out in less time than that, and we don't want an │
│ accumulation of obsolete listings. We set the access level for │
│ Download and Upload commands to 100 to allow any paid subscribers │
│ download .GIF files containing pictures of the apartments listed in │
│ the messages. │
│ │
│ The message that you are reading right now is named "HELPSYS". You │
│ can make a help message like this for each sub-board. Name the │
│ files "HELPbbb.UTL", where "bbb" is the three character sub-board │
│ abbreviation. Then use the BBUTIL program, function "H" to load all │
│ the "*.UTL" files on your disk into messages on your "utilities" │
│ sub-board. │
