File: MidiEqualise
Author: Steve Poynter
Program Size: 12k
Last Update: 6/10/90
Hi there, all you MIDI fans. Have you ever wanted to 'see' the music you
play like on one of those graphic equaliser things found on expensive
hi-fis. You do - well what a coincidence since that's exactly what this
program is. Yep that's right, it's a graphic equaliser for your midi
compatible synthesiser, (or any other midi instrument.)
MidiEqualise takes in midi notes (from any channel) and if any are
detected, then the familiar graphic equalisers bars/columns are produced
on the screen, although with more colour! Each bar has a part of the
synth keyboard designated to it (usually two notes per bar although
there are more notes per bar at both ends of the keyboard), so different
keypresses raises different bars on the screen. The bars are also
velocity sensitive, so for best results go out and buy a velocity
sensitive keyboard!
To run the program, simply plug in a midi lead from the midi OUT of
the synth to the midi IN of the midi interface of the Amiga, and then
get on down and press those notes.
To exit the program, simply press the left button.
This program is copyrightable to absolutely no-one in particular,
especially me - Steve Poynter, although please keep this document and
program together.
