  1. SHORT:Asteroids for OS2.0+ systems
  2.  
  3. This archive contains both a Freeware asteroids clone and the
  4. extended Shareware AsteriodsII game (limited to level 5).
  5.  
  6. Version 0.92 of AsteriodsII requires:
  7. i)   OS2.0+
  8. ii)  iffparse.library
  9. iii) all game fonts in a FONTS: assigned directory 
  10. iv)  500k memory (300k chip)
  11.  
  12. The game creates the following files in the current directory:
  13. i)   'keydefinitions'  stores custom key assignments
  14. ii)  'options'         stores game options
  15. iii) 'highscores'      stores high score list
  16.

  18. If you have registered for AsteriodsII and have not been offered
  19. v0.95, get in contact with me.

  22. IMPORTANT!  
  23.  
  24. In the v0.95 release, the game may be played upon any workbench
  25. supported screen.  Foolishly, I made the 'workbench clone' screen
  26. mode the default, so people with 640x200 screens wont see all
  27. option screens, (and the game may crash under 3.0).  To fix this,
  28. just go to the options screen and press <T>, to change screen type,
  29. and immediately exit.  This will allow you to set up the options
  30. you wish to save.
