  5. This product is freeware written and distributed by 
  6. Easy Desk Software. You may distribute this file to 
  7. anyone through any channels but may not charge for it.

  17. If you use ZD Nets installion tool not all references are
  18. not changed so if you are not afraid of editing the registry
  19. the instructions below will produce a complete change.
  20.  
  21. To install sound waves:
  22. 1) place the dsound waves in a directory of your choice
  23.         [try Windows\media]
  24. 2) Open up the Control Panel in MY COMPUTER
  25. 3) Double click SOUNDS
  26. 4) Scroll down to Windows Explorer and click on the Recycle Bin
  27. 5) Select the sound wave you wish to use[ use the browse button]
  28. 6) Save as what ever name you wish and click OK

  31. To install the new icons:
  32. Place the icons in a directory of your choice
  33.     [try Windows\System]
  34. 1) Click on the START button on your task bar
  35. 2) Click on RUN
  36. 3) Type the word REGEDIT in and click OK 
  37. 4) In the registry click on VIEW and then FIND
  38. 5) Enter the word Full when the input window appears
  39.     and click on FIND NEXT
  40.  If the registry cannot find this: 
  41.     A) Click on the + sign at HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
  42.     B) Scroll down to CLSID and click on the + sign
  43.     C) Scroll down to {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}
  44.        and click on the + sign
  45.     D) Click on DEFAULTICON
  46.     E) Right click the word full in the right window
  47.     F) Click on MODIFY
  48.     G) Type the address of the new Icon
  49.         (i.e. C:\windows\system\full.ico)
  50.     H) Do the same for empty
  51.     I) Do the same for Default, use the empty icon here

  54. To change the Name to ToilΦt or Trash:
  55. [ it is a good idea to make a backup copy of the registry files before
  56.      editing then- system.dat and user.dat]
  57. 1) Close and exit the registry
  58. 2) Then reopen the Registry as you did to install the icons.
  59. 3) Click on the word registry in the menu bar
  60. 4) Then Click on EXPORT REGISTRY FILE, then close the Registry
  61.    [save in a directory of your choice with a name like HERE I AM.reg]
  62. 5) Open it with Wordpad.exe if you can not find Wordpad use notebook
  63.     and Notebook will find wordpad.exe for you [ DO NOT LEFT CLICK
  64.     THIS FILE]
  65. 6) Click on the EDIT in the menus then on Replace.
  66. 7) Type the word Recycle Bin on top and the name you want to call
  67.     your new rcycle bin. [ you must change all entries or the name
  68.      will not change] If you want ToilΦt, the Φ is achieved
  69.     by holding the ALT button down while typing the numbers 0232.
  70. 8) Now repeat this with "EmptyRecycleBin" And "Empty Recycle Bin"
  71.     You may replace them with "Flush ToilΦt" and "FlushToilΦt" or 
  72.     change just recyclebin to trash.
  73. 9) Save the file as a text file and close Wordpad.
  74.     [a good idea is to repeat #5-9 a second time or even three times]
  75. 10) Now Left click the file and it will be imported to the Registry.
  76.     If you have a problem importing this file reopen the Registry
  77.     and select the import command
  78. 11) Open the control panel and select sounds and see if the new name is
  79.     under WINDOWS EXPLORER
  80. 12) Restart your computer and your done. [note that the name will
  81.      not change in your Explorer, it will still be called "recycled"
  82.     If you try and change the name in the Explorer you will have two
  83.     Folders the next time you restart your computer. One Named ToilΦt
  84.     and one named Recycled].

  86. If you find any references to a new you have been using other then Recycle
  87. Bin you may edit the registry directly under HKEY_Users|appevents\schemes\
  88. app [ you Should not remove the "EmptyRecycleBin" key here]. Besure to make
  89.  a backup of the registry first.
