  1. README TEXT FILE FOR AMIGO!

  3. 1.  Amigo! Purpose
  4.  
  5. Amigo! is a Free Form Information Manager closely integrated 
  6. with e-mail and the Internet. Information is stored in a 
  7. user defined Note which can contain any data of any size 
  8. including one or more URL's and e-mail addresses. URL's 
  9. and e-mail addresses are recognized wherever they appear 
  10. in Notes and are used to form hot links (click on the link 
  11. to load the URL into the browser) to either Netscape Navigator 
  12. or Internet Explorer.  In addition, Amigo! can capture data 
  13. from the active browser page with a single keystroke and 
  14. import of existing bookmarks is supported.  A  Windows 
  15. 95 Explorer style interface is used to organize information.
  16. 'Drag & drop' and 'full text search' operations are supported. 
  17. A Note, a folder of Notes, or an entire File of Notes may 
  18. be easily exchanged between Amigo! users. The entire 
  19. structure of the File and Folders is preserved for 
  20. the interchange.

  22. 2.  Installing Amigo!

  24. After unzipping the archive, simply execute the exclosed 'amgsetup.exe'.
  25. 'amgsetup.exe' is a zip compatible self installing archive.
  26. The setup program backs up any replaced modules and also loads an 
  27. uninstall program.

  29. 3.  Amigo! Status
  30.  
  31. Amigo! is Shareware. It is fully functional and not crippled in any way.
  32. Anyone may load Amigo! and evaluate it at no charge for up to 30 days.
  33. Use beyond 30 days requires registration but any data created during
  34. the evaluation will be preserved after registration.

  38. A limited license is granted to copy and distribute Amigo! only 
  39. for the trial use of others provided that Amigo! and all of its 
  40. release files must be copied in unmodified form, complete with 
  41. the file containing this information and the license.txt file.
