  94. ArithmeTick-Tack-Toe is like a traditional game of X's and O's, however
  95. it requires the players to correctly answer a mathematical problem before
  96. placing their piece.  A player can either challenge a friend or play
  97. against the computer.  The player has full control over the type and
  98. difficulty of the math problems, as well as the skill of the computer
  99. opponent.  Enough flexibility is provided to make the game challenging
  100. for children as well as adults.

  102. ArithmeTick-Tack-Toe was developed to encourage children to interact with
  103. the computer and practice math skills while having fun in a multimedia
  104. environment.  It is sure to appeal to both parents and educators as well
  105. as being entertaining for the students.

  110. This version of the software is an evaluation or "shareware" edition. It
  111. allows you to try out the software and decide if it meets your needs,
  112. before you purchase it.  Once you have decided that ArithmeTick-Tack-Toe
  113. will benefit your child/student, you can order an enhanced version of the
  114. software which offers a larger variety of math problems and skill levels.

  119. Requirements
  120. ============
  121. ArithmeTick-Tack-Toe requires the following items for proper use:

  125. *  A 386SX/16 with 4 megabytes of RAM or greater is recommended.

  145. ===== Installation =====================================
  146.  
  147. The installation procedure for ArithmeTick-Tack-Toe is quite simple.  The
  148. package includes a program, "SETUP.EXE", which automates the
  149. entire process.  You will need about 1.5MB of available disk space
  150. on the hard drive on which you plan to install the software.
  151.  
  152. Simply run the Setup.exe program by choosing Run from the File menu in
  153. Windows 3.1 or from the Start menu in Windows 95.  The setup program
  154. will install the files to your system and create the program icons for
  155. you.  On Windows 3.1, these will be in a program group, or found on the
  156. Start menu > Programs from Windows 95.

  158. There is even an uninstall program to remove the software should you
  159. wish to at some point in the future.

  164. Once you've complete the installation, you should consult the documents
  165. which have been installed in the "Math Games" group. To start
  166. ArithmeTick-Tack-Toe, simply double click on its icon. You will also want
