  5. Thank you for trying Pirate School (for Windows).  It is
  6. written for children ages 3-7.  There are a few items of 
  7. interest that may make your use of this software more 
  8. enjoyable.

  10. 1) The program is written to be run on an 80386 (or better)
  11.    PC running Windows with an VGA video monitor.  A mouse 
  12.    is required and a sound card is desired but not 
  13.    required.

  15. 2) Since the program produces sounds with different
  16.    activities, a sound card is desired but optional.  If
  17.    you do not have a sound card, PC speaker sound drivers
  18.    can be used to simulate WAV sounds on the PC speaker.
  19.    The sound quality is limited but it is better than 
  20.    nothing.

  22. 3) System sounds should be enabled through the Sound icon
  23.    in the Windows Control Panel group.
