  1. Please read this before you install the MarketWise Pro LE software:

  3. Installation Procedure:
  4.  
  5.     Put MKWISE2.ZIP in a directory by itself
  6.     De-compress MKWISE2.ZIP by double-clicking on it 
  7.     Double-click the SETUP.EXE file and the installation will begin
  8.     Follow the on-screen prompts
  9.  
  10. Answer YES or NO whenever the installation program prompt asks if you want 
  11. your AUTOEXEC.BAT file updated.  If you answer YES, MarketWise will add a 
  12. path statement in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file that instructs DOS where to look 
  13. for MarketWise. It is NOT NECESSARY to answer YES!

  15. MARKETWISE WILL OPERATE JUST FINE WITHOUT THIS PATH  STATEMENT!

  17. Your computer MUST have the DOS program SHARE.EXE loaded and you need to 
  18. set your FILES=50 and BUFFERS=16 as a minimum in Windows CONFIG.SYS file 
  19. in order to run MarketWise. If you aren't sure whether or not SHARE.EXE is 
  20. loaded and active on your computer or what the settings for your FILES= and
  21. BUFFERS= are, then it is advisable that you check the "YES" button when the
  22. installation program prompt asks you if you want your CONFIG.SYS file 
  23. updated.  By answering "YES" the installation program will update your 
  24. CONFIG.SYS for you and add the proper lines that will cause SHARE.EXE to be 
  25. loaded automatically into your CONFIG.SYS file for you whenever you start 
  26. your computer each day and set FILES= minimum and BUFFERS= minimum. If 
  27. SHARE.EXE is already listed in your CONFIG.SYS file and the FILES= and 
  28. BUFFERS= minimums are already sufficiently set, then no update will occur 
  29. to your CONFIG.SYS file, even though you answered YES.

  31. IT IS ADVISABLE THAT YOU ANSWER YES TO THIS PROMPT!

  33. If you do answer YES, you will need to reboot your computer to activate the
  34. SHARE.EXE file. This procedure will never be necessary again.
  35.  
  36. To begin entering data into the MarketWise Pro LE forms, start by hitting
  37. the "E" key on the keyboard and using the ENTER key or the TAB key to 
  38. proceed through the form. You'll find that some fields automatically move 
  39. to the next field without hitting the ENTER key or the TAB key.
