  11. You may download and use this software free of charge. However, this is
  12. not an open license to use this software. You may not decompile, reverse
  13. engineer, hack, crack, smack, or outright steal from this. You may not
  14. sell this software for profit. You may not take screenshots and post them
  15. on your MySpace page (or any other social networking site). You cannot
  16. record videos of yourself using this software and then post them on 
  17. YouTube (unless you include Duke Nukem sound effects). Any distribution
  18. done outside of this website must be with our written permission and must
  19. follow whatever guidelines we dictate. We retain all rights to this 
  20. software. You may, however, distribute this to friends and/or enemies
  21. providing that there is no fee paid for the software and that this 
  22. distribution archive remains intact (including the copy of this license).

  24. Any games covered under this license bearing the company names "Raven
  25. Software" or "Talon Productions" are games that Jamie made in high school.
  26. While he still has the source code... um... somewhere... he no longer has
  27. a compiler for it. Therefore, any bugs you find in these games are hereby
  28. considered "features". Don't expect them to be fixed, ever. Any addresses
  29. you see listed in the documentation are former addresses that he used to
  30. live at ages ago when he wrote the software. We don't know who lives there
  31. now, but we do know that they can neither support this software nor sell
  32. you registered versions of it. Leave them alone, please.

  37. As per the term "Beerware", if you like this software, we encourage you to
  38. donate to our cause. Donations will be spent on purchasing beer, which both 
  39. fuels and motivates us. Beer makes us better programmers (note that we
  40. haven't tested the effect on our ability to create graphics yet) -- so the
  41. more you donate, the higher the quality level of our software. For optimal
  42. results, we recommend making a sizable donation before (or shortly after)
  43. requesting any new software or major revisions to existing software.

  49. need assistance getting it to work or have any trouble with it, by all
  50. means  feel free to post in our forums. We'll offer what help we can, but

  54. So the downloads you get directly from us should be safe. If you find a
  55. virus in one of these zips... well... that'll be news to us. And you'll
  56. never find spyware or malware or anything like that in these downloads
