ResRun & ResRun Checker V1.1 - Documentation
© 1996 by Jan Stötzer

A ·Crazy Media Labs· Production
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
0. Introduction
ResRun is a small utility which can be used as default-tool for the
icons of your programs or scripts. It will do nothing than reset your
machine and run the selected program or script afterwards. This is very
useful if you don't have enough memory (e.g. on an unexpanded A1200).
1. Disclaimer
You are strictly using this program at your own risk !! The
author takes no responsibility for any damage of hardware or
software or any loss of data that could be forced if any
authorized or unauthorized person uses or misuses this program!!
2. Copyright and Distribution
The package, containing the program and its documentation are

It is FREEWARE. That means it can be used and spread for free
under the following conditions:
- Only the whole package containing this files is spread

ResRun/ResRun
ResRun/ResRun.doc
ResRun/ResRun.doc.info
ResRun/ResRunCheck
- No changes are made at the files.
- No profit is gained by spreading this package.
3. Installation & Usage
How to use? That is extremly easy...
- copy the programs ResRun and ResRunCheck into a directory of your
choise, e.g. "Sys:c/"
- if the icontype of your program is "Project" simply set the default
tool to (your directory)/resrun, e.g.: "Sys:c/resrun". If the icontype
isn't "Project" change this e.g. using "IconEdit" before.
- type (your directory)/"ResRunCheck", e.g.: Sys:C/ResRunCheck in the
first line of your startup-sequence
4. Requirements
The program should work on every Amiga with at least OS2.0 (V37.175). If
it doesn't please contact me.
5. How does it work?
The program creates a temporary file instead of using resident modules
etc. so that it's almost impossible that it is detected and stopped by a
virus checker etc.
It checks if the selected file is a program or script and handles it in
the correct way.
7. History
V1.0 (28.02.1995)
