  5. INSTALLATION

  8. TypeSmith 2.5 AF can be started directly from this floppy disk or it
  9. can be installed on your hard drive.
  10.  
  11. To install on a hard drive, simply make a directory named TypeSmith
  12. on your hard drive and copy ALL of the files from the floppy disk to
  13. it (including IFF.library, which doesn't have an icon).

  19. Get the most from your TypeSmith cover disk!
  20.  
  21. The TypeSmith cover disk in Amiga Format gives you the world's only
  22. Amiga font editor and converter. If you've taken it for a test
  23. drive, you'll have realized that TypeSmith is a powerful program

  25. TypeSmith, there's no substitute for the official instruction

  55. HOW TO CONVERT FINAL WRITER'S NIMBUS Q FONTS TO ANOTHER FORMAT

  58. 1. Use SWdownload (a utility Softwood includes with some of their
  59. software) to convert the NimbusQ font to PFA format. Sorry, we
  60. cannot supply you with this utility. Contact Softwood for
  61. availability.

  63. 2. Edit the PFA file in a text editor. You've got to remove the
  64. `prolog' (existserver stuff to make the download font permanent)
  65. before loading the font into TS:

  79. 3. Load the PFA file into TypeSmith using the Project / Import PFB
  80. PostScript Type 1 outline command. (PFA files are ASCII versions of
  81. binary PFB files.)
