  10. AWebResume  is  a  system  snooper  which integrates FTP and HTTP resume
  11. support  into  AWeb.   It  does  this  by interfacing AWeb with external
  12. resumption  programs  so that interrupted downloads can be both detected
  13. and resumed in a seamless fashion.

  15. This  version  of  AWebResume is designed for use with AWeb-II 3.2 (demo
  16. and registered).

  18. AWebResume features:

  20. - Automatic detection of interrupted downloads.
  21.  
  22. - Overrides  AWeb's  "incomplete file" requesters to give you the option
  23.   to retry, resume, delete or retain a partially downloaded file.

  25. - Retrieval of stubborn files via your e-mail account.
  26.  
  27. - Prevents AWeb from deleting partially downloaded files without asking.
  28.  
  29. - Opening  of  download  files in shared mode so that other programs can
  30.   read files as  AWeb  downloads  them (useful for checking an archive's
  31.   contents before a download has completed or for previewing files).

  33. - Automated  download  resumptions  for  ARexx  initiated  transfers and
  34.   requester timeouts (for unattended operations).

  36. - Logging  of  interrupted  downloads  so that you can collect them at a

  43. To  use  the software you will need FTP and HTTP retrieval programs with
  44. resume  support.   AWebResume  comes  configured  to  use  HTTPResume by
  45. Andriya  Antonijevic for HTTP and HTTPS resumptions and GNU Wget for FTP
  46. resumptions.   These programs are not included as part of the AWebResume
  47. distribution  archive  (you  can  obtain  them  from  Aminet directories
  48. comm/www and dev/gg respectively).
