The economic advances in South Korea and the rapid expansion of the Chinese economy both highlight the failures of the centralist, repressive regime of Communist North Korea. The collective farming system of North Korea is unable to meet the needs of the population and the government has repeatedly appealed to the world community for food. Since the death of Deng, China has been providing extensive military aid for the modernisation and training of the North Korean armed forces. It has proved impossible to reform or improve industry under the current political conditions so the North Korean government has decided to pursue an alternative approach!
In the early hours of this morning North Korea launched an invasion into South Korea with the aim of re-unifying the two nations and obtaining a modern industrial base. The American and South Korean governments have mobilised their armed forces.

Victory at last! With the enemy forces decimated and their leaders fleeing into exile, the prospect of the two countries being united peacefully is no longer a dream. The air force has made an outstanding contribution to maintaining democracy.

Due to unacceptable losses, our government has been forced to seek cease-fire terms with the enemy. Negotiations from such a weak position have been difficult and the enemy have conceded nothing. The future for South Korea is bleak and uncertain.
