  7.  
  8. Ordinary DOS and Windows file deletes are NOT secure. The file is
  9. merely marked as deleted but the data in the file is still sitting
  10. on the disk. Any undelete program or disk scan program can access the
  11. data on the disk.  It remains that way until another file happens to
  12. overwrite the disk area.
  13.  
  14. Garbage Can will take care of the security problem that occurs with
  15. an ordinary file delete. We GUARANTEE the deleted file can NOT be
  16. recovered.

  18.                   STAND-ALONE VERSION (CAN16.EXE)
  19.  
  20. It allows you to 'Drag And Drop' files from the Windows File Manager
  21. program on to the minimized icon.  Any file dragged on to
  22. the icon will then be processed according to the way you have the
  23. program options set.

  26.              FILE MANAGER EXTENSION VERSION (CANF16.DLL)
  27.  
  28. This version attachs itself to the Windows File Manager program.  The
  29. program appears as an icon that you can drag files on.  The menu will
  30. be attached to the File Manager menu.  The program will automatically
  31. start when you start the File Manager.  You need to edit the File
  32. Manager initialization file (winfile.ini) to use this version.  See
  33. the Garbage Can help file for additional details.

  38.   Add 3 different colored icons and allow the user to select
  39.   the icon that is displayed on the desktop.  Increase speed
  40.   of delete routines.  Add routines that allow the user to
  41.   press a shift key to change the default security level to
  42.   the lowest level (and fastest) security level.  Add
  43.   registration routines.

  47.     Drop Windows 3.0 version.  Add DLL version that attachs itself

  86. We maintain no version number since we can not seem to keep track
  87. of them anyway. We track our projects by date. The date that appears
  88. on this documentation and in the 'About' dialog is the release date.

  94. to review the program to determine if it fits your needs. This does
  95. not mean the program is free. You are expected to pay the $19.95
