Snowy
-----
(Icon courtesy of Giant Snowmen Attacking Houses Productions)
Well - a sort of snow field thing.
Basically, you put some sprites in the !Snowy.Images
directory (Called 1, 2, 3, 4 etc.) These should be
256 colours with 320x256 resolution (ie. mode 13)
The sprite name must be newsprite.
The snow will pass through image colours black (0) and
white (255).
Then run !SnowSet.
This will ask you for the number of images in the
directory, the number of snowflakes you want, and
the number of frames between changing images.
512 snow flakes, and 1024 frames seems to work
quite well on a 25Mhz ARM3.
The source code
---------------
I've included the source for this program.
The redraw routine seems a bit dodgy in snowdirect, and I had
a go at fixing it, but in the end I gave up. If you want to
do better, you've got the source, do what you like with it.
Upgrade it to load in JPEGs,and work in hi-res modes, I don't
care, as long as I get some credit for the original.
