  1.   This is a BETA release of SmallRTV, it has only
  2. been tested on my system (RiscPC SA) and although it
  3. should work on other Risc PCs and A5000s I can't promise
  4. anything :)

  6.   I have released SmallRTV in this state, as I want to 
  7. see how many people are interested in this style of application,
  8. to see if it works on other systems (especially A5000s)
  9. and to hopefully get some people to beta test later releases.

  11.   Eventually SmallRTV should become a 'fully featured' TV
  12. front end to the RiscTV card.
  13.  
  14.   The !Help file inside SmallRTV explains how to use this application,
  15. but here follow a few comments to help you get it working
  16.  
  17.   SmallRTV currently attempts to load the RiscTV module from inside
  18. the RiscTV application.  If you want you can copy the RiscTV module
  19. inside SmallRTV and edit the !Run file to point to this copy.  But
  20. do not distribute SmallRTV with the RiscTV module.

  22.   For A5000 users, SmallRTV uses the <SmallRTV$Vidc> system variable
  23. to locate the Vidc file.  It is currently set up to point at 
  24. <RiscTV$Dir>.Resources.Vidc  If you wish to move the Vidc file
  25. to inside SmallRTV, then just edit the !Run file to point to
  26. the new location.

  28.   To set up the channels, just load RiscTV and SmallRTV at the same time
  29. and open the tuning window for both programs.  Then select a channel
  30. in RiscTV and adjust the frequency value in SmallRTV until it matches
  31. the RiscTV one.
