AutoCache is an ARM cache controller for StrongARM processors.
It will automatically set the status of the cache when one of the three main application processes is performed.
These are:
1) when an application is double clicked (filer run).
2) when an application initialises as a WIMP task.
3) when a WIMP task closes down.
At the moment the configuration file for this has to be edited manually.
Use !Edit or any other suitable editor to load the file 'Config' which is stored inside the !AutoCache directory.
Simply enter the following information for each task you would like AutoCache to control and then save it. All details must be entered and each seprated by a comma (,).
Firstly:
The filename of the program,
Then the version of the program (use 1.00 if not known),
The WIMP task name,
The status of the cache when the application is run,
The status of the cache when it initialises itself,
The status of the cache when it is closed down.
A hash (#) at the start of a line indicated a comment.
To load the program simply double click the !AutoCache
icon and a copy will appear on the icon bar.
The program will then sit on the icon bar until another program is run. If it recognises the new program then it will control the cache as set in the 'Config' file.
The ARM cache can also be set manually by going to the 'Options' sub menu off the AutoCache menu. Select the state of the cache by clicking on the appropriate buttons and then click on 'SET'. The 'CLOSE' button will remove the window from the screen.

1) Info ->
Leads off to a window which contains the usual information about this program.
2) Options->
Leads off to a window which allows you to set the ARM cache manually.
3) Quit
Shuts down AutoCache.
