  1. Help for CharDef
  2. ================
  3. An option to load a font file is not needed, just click on the font file to
  4. run it. Then edit and save the new font file.
  5. Font files are just a sequence of VDU23 commands, they are run by the WIMP
  6. using a *PRINT command (You just need to click them to run).
  7. Font files have filetype FF7.
  8. The chardef program has a menu available from within it's window, this allows
  9. you to perform various transformations on the character you are editing.
  10. The reason why it seems fairly slow is because it keeps no data structures 
  11. about the current font, it relies on reading and setting the states (i.e. 
  12. selected or not selected) of the icons in the grid.
