  25. Requirements:

  27. You will need a RiscPC with at least 12MB Ram, 1MB VRam is recommended.

  30. Installation:
  31.  
  32. At first you should update your mode definition file with some suitable
  33. modes, that provide 800*288 and 400*288 pixel video modes. You can find
  34. them in the Modes directory. If you don't like this, you must edit the
  35. Defaul file in !UAE and the configuration files in the Config directory
  36. to use an other suitable mode, such as 800*600 or 768*288 pixels.

  38. Second you need to copy the CallASWI-Module to your !System, if you
  39. don't have RiscOS 3.7.

  42. Wimp Interface:
  43.  
  44. Try to use the RiscOS online help !Info/!Help. That should answer nearly
  45. all questions about windows and icons.
  46. You can use the Wimp Interface to customize UAE's configuraton. In the menu
  47. "Config" you can change a lot of things, buit they will not take any effect
  48. before you reset the Emulator. As you certainly see, you can also save the
  49. current configuration. Configuration files can also easily altered in a
  50. text editor. To load a configuration file simply drag it onto the icon.

  52. In the menu "Change" you can change some things that take immediately
  53. effect. Actually this are only the disk images.
  54.  
  55. By clicking on the icon you switch to start UAE or switch to UAE mode.
  56. From UAE mode you can return to the desktop by pressing (and releasing!)
  57. F12.
  58.  
  59. If some programs won't run, try to use UAE without sound.
  60. Programs that currently don't run with sound are Turrican2 and SWIV.

  63. Miscellanous:
  64.  
  65. The ADF directory is thought for the various disk images you might want to
  66. use. They are simple Byte-for-byte copies of Amiga disks. You can find 
  67. them on several sites in the internet.

  69. The Config Directory is for the setup files you want to use.
  70.  
  71. The Files directory is thought for files you want to access from inside the
  72. Emulator. You can mount this directory on a Filesystem of the Amiga Emulator.

  74. normdhry,regdhry: dhrystone test without/with register variables
  75. transdis: a simple program to generate a disk image from a disk. Of course
  76.           you should use this on real Amigas :-)
  77. transrom: the same as above for the Amiga rom
  78. uaectrl, uae-cont: two programs which enable you to set some options from
  79.                    inside the emulator
  80.
