Basically dont come crying if it knackers something.

EXTRA! EXTRA!
Source code now released! It's not terribly pretty, but it works.
Send me any comments!

Introduction
------------
This emulator had source code sitting on the net, and Dave Sharp drew my
attention to it.
Why not, thought I, and so here it is.
The emulator was originally written by Alex Hornby (ahornby@zetnet.co.uk),
for UN*X, as part of a 3rd year university project. It was written to be
portable, and barring one or two tweaks, it was.
It's now been slightly more than tweaked, and runs rather nicely under the
desktop...
It acheives between 40 and 50 FPS on a StrongARM (In single tasking mode),
which is more than enough to make it playable, since the UK v2600 runs
at 50Hz :-).
There is a picture of the 2600 in the v2600.zip archive. Enjoy the cheese
:-)
How to get going
----------------
Ok - it's dead easy...
the games come in .BIN files available on the net.
set type these to &0D8, and double-click them.
NOTE: unles you use the program mentioned in the next paragraph, the ROMs
muct have the DOS extension "/bin" or they will fail to load.
Also, the bin->c26 program (also included) converts the ROMS into a nicer
(and native) form. DO NOT put dos extensions on the names of converted ROMs
Converted ROMS should also have the &0D8 filetype.
Simple, huh?
Keys (redefinable)
----
Control Player 2 Player 1
Joy <- <- z
Joy -> -> x
Joy /\ /\ f
Joy \/ \/ c
Joy Fire <R Alt> g
F2 = Start / Reset
F3 = Select
F4 = B/W or Colour mode
F10 = save screenshot (saves to same dir as !v2600 is in, with name 'shot')
F11 = Return to desktop (if in single tasking mode)
Mouse can be used for paddle games.
Command line parameters
-----------------------
Here's some useful command line parameters (add them in the !Run file)
These are the /only/ ones supported (or indeed recognised) by v2600-ARM
-b <n> --- select bank switching type - some games require this set to
1, 2, or 3. 0 is default.
Ok, so there's only one option now (the others are set using the
configuration menu option)
Acknowledgements (in no particular order)
----------------
Thanks to Dave Sharp for pointing out the existence of the emulator to me!
to Phillip R Banks for letting me use his DataVox module (for audio)
