  1. Program : Nifty Menu.
  2.  
  3. Purpose : Application launcher for Risc OS.
  4.

  7. Instructions
  8. ~~~~~~~~~~~~

  10. Nifty Menu is an application launcher which quite simply lets
  11. you set up 'menu' screens of you favourite programs along with
  12. links to join the pages together.
  13.  
  14. The program can be in one of two states, Run or Edit mode.
  15. In Run mode double clicking on any icon will load that program
  16. or if it's a link it will follow it to a new menu screen.
  17. In Edit mode you can drag programs to any box, dragging in menus
  18. will produce links. The icons can then be dragged to other
  19. boxes or duplicated by adjust dragging them (hint: adjust drag
  20. empty boxes to blank boxes quickly). Three lines of text may
  21. be placed to the right of each program icon. Finally a title
  22. can be added to the top of the menu screen. When you've
  23. finished, save off the menu and return to Run mode.

  25. Note: all of the menus must be saved into the menus directory
  26. inside of Nifty Menu, do not try to put them else where.

  28. Nifty Menu tries to intelligently choose the link arrows, if
  29. you want to change them use the Prog->Edit details option
  30. to switch from left to right (left ones are suppost to be
  31. back links and right ones are forward links).

  33. When you first click on Nifty Menu's icon on the icon bar it
  34. will try to load the menu 'MainMenu', so it's a good idea to
  35. start with this menu fill it with links to other menus and
  36. always remeber to include up links. If you do find your self
  37. stuck just open up the menu directory (Menu->Menus) and drag
  38. a menu to the menu screen.

  40. Development/Bugs

  43. I wrote this program ages ago and don't feel I ever quite
  44. finished it, it certainly works fine and never crashes by
  45. itself. If anyone wants me to finish it off (I did intend
  46. to make it open the window in the middle of the screen)
  47. then drop me an email and I might just do it, otherwise
  48. I'll just leave it how it is - it sits on my icon bar and
  49. does plenty nuff for my purposes.

  54. This program is freeware, you may copy it as much as you like,
  55. but never charge more than nominal amounts (ie. for time and
  56. media). If you feel the urge to include it on a PD/Cover CD
  57. then I'd like a free copy or at least a discount on buying it.
