  4. GMail is possibly the simplest (and most powerful) mailer currently available
  5. for RISC OS. You will first need to 'install' GMail, and then configure it.

  8. Installation
  9. ------------
  10. RiscPC owners (and those with RiscPC-style boot sequences) :
  11.   The GMail directory should be placed inside Choices:Boot.PreDesk so that it
  12.   is run on startup.
  13.  
  14. Other beings :
  15.   The GMail.!Run file should be run on startup (or at some convenient point).
  16.  
  17. After installation you may want to run the !Run file in it's new location so
  18. that the computer knows about it.

  21. Configuration
  22. -------------
  23. Configuration is via the !GMail front end program. The !Help file contains
  24. specifics of how to configure GMail for different mailers, but interactive
  25. help is also offered for those who prefer that. The application will tell
  26. you if you do anything 'wrong' so don't be afraid to experiment.

  28. If anything looks complex then ignore it, or read the !Help file.

  31. Testing
  32. -------
  33. I'll accept people mailing me 'test' messages to check that the mailer is
  34. working correctly and mail them back to confirm. This service is at my own
  35. discretion, so don't get cross if I decide to stop doing this.
