  1. Foreign Language Translations
  2. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  3. ArcLink5 supports foreign languages by providing multiple 'Messages' and
  4. 'Templates' files for each country supported.
  5.  
  6. Each country definition consists of a directory (up to 10 characters) called
  7. the same as the country (as shown by *COUNTRIES) containing a messages file
  8. and a Templates file. Both files need to be present. If not, ArcLink5 will
  9. default to the UK version.
  10. It is impossible to check for the existence of every single message, so if
  11. you are creating alternative translations, please ensure that all messages
  12. are catered for, otherwise some menus/messages will be blank and/or cause
  13. ArcLink5 to halt with unexpected errors.

  15. If you edit (or create) additional country definitions please follow these
  16. conventions, and please send a copy back to me so that I may update the
  17. master copies. Thank you.

  19. N.B. If editing the original (UK) Templates file, please ensure that all icon
  20. numbers and lengths (indirected icon data) stay the same. If not, ArcLink5
  21. may halt with unexpected errors.
