  4. This disc contains information which you will need to run some applications
  5. on RISC OS 3.
  6.  
  7. The information is provided either as text files containing instructions
  8. which you should follow to ensure that the relevant application works
  9. correctly or as programs which will make small changes to the applications
  10. to ensure correct operation.
  11.  
  12. In addition the disc contains the directory Guide, containing several
  13. example files for use with tutorials, and the application !T1ToFont which
  14. converts Adobe™ Type 1 format font files to the RISC OS font file format.

  19. The following list gives the names of the other files on this disc and the
  20. names of applications which these files support.  Additional files may
  21. appear on this disc; these will have been added late in the production
  22. process when there was insufficient time to update this file.  You will need
  23. to examine the individual files or (maybe) the release notice to find out
  24. what these do.

  26. One important application on this disc is !Patch. This application is
  27. capable of applying a "patch" provided by the vendor of an application to
  28. that application which will modify it to fix a particular problem.  !Patch
  29. may contain patches for several  applications.  Read the help information
  30. provided with !Patch to find out how to use it.
