  18.  This playable demo is a small preview of our first budget game.
  19.  
  20.  Inferno is a fast, arcade action packed scroller, with devious puzzles and 
  21.  shoot-em-up elements. Gameplay takes place over a number of levels and zones
  22.  within a nuclear power facility on a nearby planet.
  23.  As a crack member of the Alummanian defense unit, you have been drafted in 
  24.  to pilot a lone ship capable of extinguishing the radioactive core on Tvod-1.

  26.  You must put out all the fire in each area, before it's too late - whilst
  27.  evading oncoming enemy robot droids and security installations!

  83. Technical stuff

  86.  Inferno is compatible with all Acorn RiscOS machines, and all CPU types
  87.  (ARM2, ARM250, ARM3, ARM610, ARM700, ARM7500, and STRONGARM).

  89.  You can use Vertical Twist, Acorn A3010 or RTFM joystick interfaces,
  90.  and these are detected automatically when Inferno is loaded.

  92.  For detailed instructions please look at GAME INFORMATION on the main menu 
  93.  of the demo.

  95.  If you experience any problems when loading Inferno, make sure that no
  96.  other programs are loaded.

  98.  On a StrongArm machine, you should not load the Crunchfix module. Our code
  99.  uses the new StrongArm Native BASS cruncher, and the crunchfix module clashes
  100.  with the brand new version!

  102.  Please note that Inferno requires 2Mb RAM, and RiscOS 3.1 minimum.

  109. ========

  111.  On some types of monitors, games will run faster than they were designed.
  112.  !VSYNCx2 can be used on any Acorn RiscOS machine, and will slow down the
  113.  video update - slowing down the game.

  115.  To use !VSYNCx2, simply:
  116.  
  117.  - double click on !VSYNCx2 to ENABLE video slowing, 
  118.  - double click again to DISABLE video slowing. 
  119.  
  120.  !VSYNCx2 is ©1996 Paradise, but is freeware - so you may distribute it 
  121.  freely.
