Gnuchess for the Archimedes V 1.0
How to use the gnuchess application (this was written using Latin1)
-------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Make certain you have at least 160K screen memory (gnuchess uses
mode 15).
2) Double click on the application icon.
3) Answer the following questions (this sets the difficulty level):
#moves: /* The max. lenght of the game */
#minutes: /* How long the computer can take on each move */
operator time: /* Use the standard choice 0 */
4) 'help' will give you a command list. This version also have a simple
mouse control, just press down the button over the piece you want to
move, then drag the pointer to the destination field and release the
button.
5) When you start a new game, gnuchess will look for the opening book
containing the various opening moves. The opening book (!Gnuchess.Book.
Gnuchess) is a plain ascii file and may be edited.
