  5. Kanji Reader is a shareware utility for reading 2-byte encoded Japanese
  6. e-mails and news postings. Simply drag the text file onto the icon on the
  7. icon bar and it will be displayed in Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana.

  9. The reader will display jis, new-jis and euc coded text. A jis encoded file
  10. is provided as an example. Many more can be found on the many fj newgroups
  11. on the Internet.

  13. Clicking Menu over the main window allows for the window width to be changed
  14. and for the page to be printed.

  16. The Kanji Reader was written for my own use. It may well not follow official
  17. guide lines. The printing facility in particular is quite rudimentary. I mainly
  18. wish to be able to read e-mails.
