Description:
AltTab is an itty-bitty task switcher which provides a facility similar to that
on another operating system, where using the keyboard combination <Alt>-<Tab>
allows the user to easily switch programs. When I have a lot of windows
obscuring each other, I just hold <Alt> and press <Tab> to quickly flip through
them all to find the one I want.
*** Stop press: Since version 0.19, AltTab even works with menus!
This version adds no functionality; it merely uses one less
instruction than 0.19. So if you already have 0.19 and don't
care much about the source-code, it probably isn't worth
downloading for one measly instruction.
I hope AltTab will be a useful alternative to !CoolSwitch. In the tradition of
CoolSwitch, source is included. The AltTab module is nearly one-tenth the size,
and hence has a far simpler operation. I find it much easier for quickly
locating buried windows, without having to worry about which task owns what
window, and without disturbing the layering of the window-stack.
