  28. Download the archive file(s) and extract using SparkPlug 2 (see the "tools_help"
  29. file in arch/riscos/tools for further info).

  32. Description:

  34. Compress will compress (and subsequently decompress) Armadeus format samples.
  35. It is much more efficient at this than general purpose compressors such as
  36. !SparkFS or !Squash. Particularly useful if you have large collections of
  37. samples, or are running a BBS or FTP site, or anywhere else that you want to
  38. keep storage requirements or transmission times to a minimum.

  40. A background player (!Player) is available to play squashed samples directly
  41. from disc without having to decompress them first. Also, tools (!CompUtils) are
  42. available for you to graft compressed sample support into your own programs.
