  34. LOGIN contains three programs: login, passwd and readonly.  Together they
  35. supply a simple form of security plus the ability to manage the boot
  36. sequence.

  38. Login is a clone of the Unix login program. It is a command-line program and
  39. is intended to be placed within your bootup sequence before the desktop
  40. starts. At this early point, it is possible to stop (clueless) people from
  41. accessing facilities on your machine without logging in.  Different
  42. environments can be entered depending on the login name entered.

  44. Passwd changes your password in the /etc/passwd file.

  46. Readonly marks a system variable as being read-only. Once marked, any
  47. attempt to change the value of the variable will cause an error to be
  48. generated.
