  1. Licensing and conditions of use

  3. This library, consisting of source code, header files, object files, object
  4. libraries, documentation and sample applications is Copyright 1990 - 1993
  5. John Winters.  It is not freeware or public domain. Subject to certain
  6. conditions, detailed below, you may if you wish make use of the components
  7. of this library in your own applications.

  9. You may freely re-distribute the header files, library files, documentation
  10. and sample applications which are available for download from Arcade.  The
  11. source is now available only to registered users.  You may not pass it on to
  12. anyone else.
  13.  
  14. You may not use modified versions of this library in code which you make
  15. available to others, or distribute modified versions of the library, without
  16. first giving me a copy of the modifications and allowing me to integrate
  17. them into the library free of charge for the benefit of others. Note that
  18. this doesn't mean that if you write an expansion of the library you have to
  19. make a gift of it to me.  The design is intended to allow easy expansion,
  20. and you're free to do that in any way you like.  Only if your expansion
  21. requires you to modify the code which I've written to provide some sort of
  22. hook for your bit do you have to give me a copy (and then only a copy of the
  23. hook).

  27. Pottering, experimentation writing your own private applications, public
  28. domain applications, freeware or Careware (as defined by Norwich Computer
  29. Services) - no charge.

  31. Registration - which entitles you to a copy of the source, and basic support
  32. (i.e. questions about the library answered, bug reports logged and as far as
  33. possible fixed) - £10.  For an extra £5, I will send you a printed copy of
  34. the manual in a ring binder, in case you don't have the means to print it
  35. out yourself.

  37. Use in Shareware applications with a registration charge up to £20 - one-off
  38. £20 licensing charge per application.

  40. Use in commercially distributed software, or Shareware with a registration
  41. charge greater than £20 is not permitted without separate explicit
  42. permission from me.
