Empty:Click to empty the Bin.
Quit:Don't click if you want My Best Friend to stay.
Dir:This is My Best Friend.|mTo select a dir D, SELECT drag MBF's dir icon to D's dir viewer or drop D's icon or a D.File onto MBF. When on desktop, move MBF with ADJUST, Shift+SELECT (⇨ to top 1st), Shift+ADJUST (⇨ to bottom 1st).
Bin:This is My Best Friend's Bin.|mIt deletes or bins (moves ⇨ !MBF.Bin directory) objects. Click SELECT, then drag the 'tool' sprite to a dir to delete/bin its contents. Drop an object onto the Bin to delete/bin it. Move around as MBF.
Delete:If €, objects will be deleted immediately (enjoy with care). Open files will cause the 'File open' error; they will be dealt with according to the 'Open files' box settings.
Keep:If €, objects will be 'binned' (moved ⇨ !MBF.Bin directory), overwriting any Bin objects with same names.
nice:This is how the Bin and the 'tool' look like when the 'keep' option is € and the Bin is empty.
full:This is how the Bin and the 'tool' look like when the 'keep' option is € and the Bin is not empty. Hold down Ctrl and click SELECT over the Bin icon to open the !MBF.Bin directory.
evil:This is how the Bin and the 'tool' look like when the 'delete' option is €.
Open:This box controls Bin's response to a 'File open' error.|mProcess: open files will be processed as specified in the 'Objects' box.|mDon't: don't do any processing on open files (no error is given).|mAsk: you'll be asked.
BinIB:Select if you prefer the Bin sitting on the icon bar.
Bin<>:This icon controls Bin's position on the icon bar. It has to effect when the Bin is on the desktop.
BinSave:Click to save current Bin options and Bin's position.
Caret:⇨ for some 'caret stuff'.
Kill:Click to 'kill' the caret.|mHotkey: press RIGHT HAND Alt and Ctrl simultaneously.
Blink:If €, the caret will be blinking at a rate set in the 'Caret.Blink.Rate' window ⇨.
RateOn:Click SELECT/ADJUST to inrease/decrease the time interval the caret is visible.
RateOff:Click SELECT/ADJUST to inrease/decrease the time interval the caret is invisible.
Rate:Shows you the current 'blink rate'.
RateSave:Click to save current 'blink rate' settings.
Toggler:If €, you can turn the video and cursor DMA off by pressing SELECT and ADJUST simultaneously. It will (or not) be toggled back on as specified in the 'Enable the video DMA' menu-window ⇨.|m(menu-window: see Bin Options).
Auto:If €, My Best Friend will automatically turn the video DMA on as soon as she gets a null event.
Manual:If €, the video DMA stays off until you turn it on yourself by pressing SELECT+ADJUST another time.
NoLoad:If €, MBF will turn the DMA on as soon as your desktop stops to crawl...
VDMASave:Click to save current toggler options.
Misc:⇨ miscellaneous options menu-window.|m(See Bin Options for the definition of a 'menu-window'.)
AutoFocus:If €, the window under the pointer will be given the input focus.
Alert:If €, a beep will be issued when the machine was taken over by a task for a time longer than specified in the s(econds) icon ⇨.
AlertTime:Click SELECT/ADJUST to inrease/decrease the number of seconds a task can take over the machine without an alert (beep) being issued.
Beep:If €, MBF will beep when you select a directory.
Wrap:If €, the pointer will wrap at a screen edge to the opposite one if Shift is not being held down.
Move:If €, objects copied with Shift held down (=copy and delete the source afterwards) will be renamed instead if no filing system change is involved.
DirIB:Select if you prefer MBF (the 'directory') sitting on the icon bar.
