Description:
FsckFrend runs 'fsck' in the background (allowing you to continue work
in the desktop) and lets you know how it went. Since running fsck in
this manner produces no screen output it makes it suitable for use as a
repeating task alarm in !Alarm (which is basically why I wrote the thing).
Features:
* 'Auto-Quit' If fsck returns 'map good', the appplication can be set to
quit after a (configurable) delay.
* Small window; takes up very little room on your desktop. Notice the 'toggle
size' icon? full size (but still nice and small) the window
gives a little more info.
* Beeping; if fsck returns a 'bad' code for whatever reason, the app can
be made to beep at reqular intervals (to get your attention).
* Configurable; you can set the disc to 'fsck' in the !Run file, or (more
versatile), use "%0" and tag the disc name onto the app. name
in !Alarm's 'Set Alarm' window.
* Compact & neat.
