Menon 2.07
The last release of Menon by its author was 2.06. I've made no changes to the
code, having merely tidied up the English and some lettering problems which were
getting on my nerves.
I've also edited the manual, which is provided as the Impression file !Help.
I registered Menon at the address given in early 1995, but did not receive a
reply (I enclosed enough money to receive a copy of the latest version). Hence I
suggest you check the author's still contactable before registering.
In any case, there are now much more powerful programs such as Director, which
is also free.
However, at the time of writing (26/06/95), I still use Menon because I haven't
had time to set Director up. If Menon does all you want, then I recommend it:
it's easy to use, reliable (despite being dated 30-Dec-92, it works fine on my
Risc PC), and has a few useful extras all in one neat package (blinking caret,
ALT+Double click runs a BASIC program in a Task window, change directory by
pointing at a Filer window and pressing CTRL+Tab).
If you just want a simple, reliable menu tree program with a few useful extras,
Menon is the business.
