  3. What this software does
  4. =======================

  6. It allows the entry of the x and y values for a number of
  7. data, and the data may then be fit to
  8.  
  9. • best straight line
  10. • best parabola
  11. • a cubic spline curve
  12. • a polynomial of order up to 6
  13.  
  14. The resulting graphs may be saved as a !Draw file, or
  15. printed via any standard RISC-OS printer driver.

  17. Use of !GraphDraw
  18. =================
  19.  
  20. Running the application
  21. -----------------------
  22.  
  23. This software is fully RISC-OS compatible, and is
  24. multi-tasking. It can be run from the desktop in all the
  25. standard ways.
  26.  
  27. Double clicking on the !GraphDraw icon in a directory viewer
  28. will install its icon on the icon bar. 
  29.  
  30. Clicking SELECT on the iconbar icon will open an empty edit
  31. window, into which the pairs of x,y data may be entered.
  32. Full scrolling and editing facilities are available during
  33. data entry.
  34.  
  35. The application can also be started by double clicking on a
  36. data file of !GraphDraw format. In this case, besides the
  37. icon appearing on the icon bar, the edit window will be
  38. opened with the contents of the data file displayed, for
  39. further editing if necessary. A data file may also be
  40. dragged, either into the edit window, or to the iconbar
  41. icon. The data will be loaded, overwriting any data that had
  42. previously been entered.

  44. Full interactive help is available, via !Help or
  45. !BubbleHelp, and additional explanation is available from
  46. several of the application menus.

  51. The software referred to in these notes is NOT placed into
  52. the public domain, but remains the copyright of the author,
  53. Chris Johnson, and is released as Shareware only, and should
  54. not be posted on bulletin boards or circulated on any public
  55. domain software discs, except by prior and express agreement
  56. with the author.

  58. Anyone obtaining this software other than from the author,
  59. and making use of the software other than for trial
  60. purposes, is requested to register with the author by
  61. sending a minimum of £3. All registered users will be
  62. informed from time to time of any significant improvements
  63. or 'bug' fixes and will be entitled to upgraded versions of
  64. the software free of charge at any time by sending a blank
  65. disc, an SAE and sufficient to cover return postage. A
  66. single registration entitles the user to use the complete
  67. suite of plotting software produced by the author.
