FlashCard V1.10
Hot on the heels of version 1.00. Hopefully there are fewer potential bugs,
disasters etc. in V1.10. There are also a few added features (well one).
There is now a simple search option so that the card files can be used as a
dictionary of sorts. Combine them together as recommended in the original
Readme file and you can search for words or complete entries in the pinyin
and English text. Click on 'search' in the main menu and a dialog box will
appear. Enter the string you want to search for and select the appropriate
radio button for english or pinyin. The cards will be rearranged (in
memory), putting the results of your search at the beginning. Up to ten
matches will be found and they can be displayed in sequence as normal. If
there is more than one match, the 'random' option will be switched off so
that all the results can be seen.
The tone must be included when searching pinyin - ie 'hao' will not find a
match but 'hao3' (3rd tone) will. Parts of phrases will not be matched - ie
'I am fine' will produce a match, but 'I am' won't. Capital letters must be
entered exactly as they appear in the text.
The system variables FCSimpFont and FCTradFont are set up in the !Run file,
rather than embedding the names in the code. These should be set to the names
of the HBF files for the fonts you want to use. Make sure the paths inside
these are also correctly set so that the bitmaps can be found.
