Transports for Termite to Newsbase
----------------------------------
By J.Beech
Note: This is the first release, and although it works fine for me when I
tested it, it may still have odd quirks & bugs in there. Any data loss that
you suffer from cannot be attributed to me, and I am not to be held
responsible should anything nasty happen ;-)
Ok...that's out the way, now on with the background and installation.
Background
----------
Have you forked out a lot of money for termite internet?
Have you been moderately impressed with the presentation?
Have you repeatedly banged your head against the wall while trying to use
Offlite?
If the answer is yes (at least to the first and third!) then this is probably
the patch for you. It is designed to hide (almost) transparently inside
!NewsBase and transfer mail from !MailBox to !NewsDir and back again, so you
never have to go near Offlite ever again (At least, if you like using TTFN)
Installation
------------
Simple. Just drag the !NewsDir and !Newsbase applications from the archive
over the top of your original applications. (This will merge the new files in
with the old ones)
Now, load up newsbase, and select the setup option.
Click on where it says transports, and select termite for all options.
OK..it's now fully installed. After receiving your mail&news from termite,
just load newsbase & ttfn just as if it was !TCPIP you had used.
Bug reports & stuff
-------------------
If you want anything adding to the transport, or any bugs fixing, please
mail me at:
Also, if you can offer me help with any improvements, they would be most
welcome.

Also available soon/now are:
----------------------------
• !AutoUUE
Decode binaries (single and split files!) from your news file
automatically when you boot !Newsbase
• DirconSLIP
For anyone with Termite internet, and a Direct Connection Internet
account (company like Demon, before you ask!) this is the script file I
wrote for connecting with.
