  32. Description:

  34. The Internet Gopher is a distributed document delivery service.  It
  35. allows a neophyte user to access various types of data residing on
  36. multiple hosts in a seamless fashion.  This is accomplished by
  37. presenting the user a hierarchical arrangement of documents and by
  38. using a client-server communications model.  The Internet Gopher Server
  39. accepts simple queries, and responds by sending the client a document.

  41. This is a first attempt at creating a Gopher client for the Archimedes.
  42. At the moment it is only an ordinary Gopher, support for Gopher+ may
  43. follow later.
