This QuickStart file is a 'rough guide' to help you get started with EasyMail.

I. Quick Start For ArcBBS:
======================
1A. Load EasyMail.
2A. From the icon bar menu, select 'Configure'. In the 'Default Window'
area ensure the 'ArcBBS' option is set, then click the 'Save' icon.
3A. Click on icon bar icon.
4A. Click the MENU mouse button on the window and select 'Add'. Fill in
your fullname and BBS name. Ignoring any warning messages click the
'Save' icon.
5A. Select your name from the list, click the MENU mouse button and
select 'Default user'. Now, click the 'Select' icon. This will
open the 'Browser' window.
6A. Click the 'Tools' icon, and from the submenu attached to the 'BBSs'
option, select 'Maintain...'
7A. Click the 'Add' icon and type in the name of your favourite BBS, then
click the 'Save' icon.
8A. Select this BBS from the list in the 'Bulletin Boards' Window, click
the MENU mouse button and select 'Default BBS' from the menu. Now,
click the 'Select' icon.
9A. Obtain a scratchpad from the BBS your have just set up, and drag the
message file (decompressed) onto the 'Browser' window.
EasyMail should now be up and running. Please read the !Help file for
further information on the other features of EasyMail.
II. Quick Start For Internet:
========================
1A. If you use !TCPIP (KA9Q) to access the Internet, ensure that the
'Filer' has 'seen' !TCPIPUser.
2A. Load EasyMail.
3A. Click on icon bar icon.
4A. Click the MENU mouse button on the window and select 'Add'. Fill in
your fullname and Internet name - this is the local part of your
e-mail address: <local>@demon.co.uk
Ignoring any warning messages click the 'Save' icon.
5A. Select your name from the list, click the MENU mouse button and
select 'Default user'. Now, click the 'Select' icon. This will
open the 'Browser' window.
6A. Click the 'Four Coloured Squares' icon. This opens the 'Newsgroups'
window. From the 'Options' submenu, select 'Add' type in the name
one of the UseNet newsgroups your read. Repeat this for all the
UseNet newsgroups you read. Here are some newsgroups you might be
interested in:
comp.sys.acorn
comp.sys.acorn.tech
comp.sys.acorn.announce
comp.binaries.acorn
comp.sources.acorn
demon.announce
demon.answers
demon.ip.support.archimedes
When finished, you will see the newsgroups you have typed in listed
in the window. Then click the 'Close' icon.
7A. If you are using !TCPIP (KA9q) then to import your UseNet news and
Internet e-mail, click the 'Tools' and select the 'Collect mail'
option.
If you are using CIX or some other protocol suite, drag the batched
UseNet news and Internet e-mail onto the 'Browser' window.
EasyMail should now be up and running. Please read the !Help file for
further information on the other features of EasyMail.
