This program's only use is to provide you with a way of adding a sprite
file to the wimp pool without leaving the desktop and typing:
*IconSprites <filename>
Great if, like me, you spend most of your time doodling away at your
icon set!
The program has two modes: *IconSprites mode and *ToolSprites mode.
Dragging a sprite file onto the program's icon on the iconbar will perform
the respective *command. To swap between the two modes, click on the icon with
Adjust. Clicking on the icon with Select redraws the screen.
There is an option to force a screen redraw when a sprite file is loaded,
and this can be turned on or off by changing the 'Redraw' option in the main
menu.
Hints:
A fast way to see your newly defined icon is to bring up !Paint's save individual sprite window (there are two ways of getting to it) and just drag the file onto the !IconSprs icon, followed by a redraw. The slow way is to save the whole file and then drag that onto the !IconSprs icon, wait for the machine to process the file, then display it.
To achieve a good 'pushed' effect, I reverse the 'lighting' on the border, and then shift the inside to the right by one pixel. If possible, I also darken the inside.

P.S. Watch out for The Animator's Toolkit:
I plan to make it something quite special.
I may even make it able to edit sprite files (!Paint crashes too much
for my liking), but saving 'em again could be a lot of hassle.

How about an app that alphabetically sorts sprites in a file?
Useful - I hate hunting through big files for a particular icon.
