  10. This product contains the FileBox module, which is copyright Kasoft Software.
  11.  
  12. The FileBox software is Shareware, which means that if you plan to continue
  13. using it, you need to register it by sending the registration fee of ten (10)
  14. Australian dollars to the address given below. Cash, international or
  15. Australian Money Orders, or cheques payable to an Australian bank may be
  16. used.
  17.  
  18. The FileBox module, when packaged with Freeware software, can be
  19. distributed free of charge, provided the author of that software is a
  20. registered user of FileBox. Draw your users attention to the fact that the
  21. module is part of a fully-documented Shareware release, which can be obtained
  22. and registered separately. The release must at least include the text:
  23.  
  24. "This product contains the FileBox module, which is copyright Kasoft
  25. Software. Kasoft is a trademark of Kasoft Software, and owned by Kade
  26. Hansson."
  27.  
  28. To include the FileBox module with Shareware software, you must first obtain
  29. a special "Shareware Author's Registration", which costs fifty (50)
  30. Australian dollars. This rate is flat, and covers an unlimited number of
  31. Shareware titles.
  32.  
  33. A special licence must be negotiated before the FileBox module can be
  34. incorporated in any commercial software. Please contact Kasoft Software at
  35. the address given below.

  37. A copy of the licence conditions for unregistered users of FileBox is
  38. given at the foot of this document. If you do not plan to register FileBox,
  39. then delete this software and all other whole or partial copies you have.

  43. To initialize all File Box facilities, double-click on the !FileBox
  44. application. The !FileBox application provides (in combination with the
  45. FileBox module):
  46.  
  47. • A system variable <I> which can be used in Desktop *-commands or task
  48.   window programs wherever a file name would normally need to be laboriously
  49.   typed out. Instead, variable <I> gets a filename by prompting the user to
  50.   drag the file into a special loading window, using the RISC OS file
  51.   dragging conventions.
  52.   
  53. • A system variable <O> which can be used in Desktop *-commands or task
  54.   window programs wherever a file name would normally need to be laboriously
  55.   typed out. Instead, variable <O> gets a filename by prompting the user to
  56.   drag a file icon a special saving window into a directory viewer, again
  57.   using the RISC OS file dragging conventions. DragASprite is supported.
  58.   
  59. • Fully documented SWIs and *-commands which allow great control over
  60.   loading and saving from programs running in task windows and any other
  61.   Desktop tasks.

  64. interactive help (!Help, !Spy etc.) and command help (*Help).

  70. Because of an unknown bug, it is recommended that the use of the system
  71. variables documented above be discontinued for the time being. If they seem
  72. to work OK on your machine, then by all means use them, but I may remove
  73. support in future versions. See the release notes for my thoughts.

  97. End-User Licence Conditions for Unregistered Users of the File Box software
  98.  
  99. Before using the File Box software, please read the End-User Licence
  100. Conditions detailed below. If you do not promise to abide by the terms and
  101. conditions of the End-User Licence, please destroy the software. Usage of
  102. this software implies your agreement with the terms and conditions. Upon
  103. paying the registration fee, you will be sent an amended licence which
  104. extends you rights to use the software considerably.

  106. 1. Definitions
  107.  
  108. The following expressions have the meanings given here:
  109.  
  110. "Kasoft" means Kade Hansson, being either owner of all intellectual property
  111. rights in the Software, or having the right to grant licences of the
  112. Software.
  113.  
  114. "Software" means the File Box software, consisting of the relocatable module
  115. FileBox, the front end application !FileBox and any other support materials
  116. provided on the File Box disc.
  117.  
  118. "Documentation" means the File Box module documentation in whichever forms
  119. it is provided, whether printed or in the form of a file or document on the
  120. File Box disc.

  122. 2. Licence
  123.  
  124. Kasoft grants you a personal non-transferable non-exclusive licence (or
  125. sub-licence), as follows:
  126.  
  127. (1) You may copy the Software for back-up purposes, to support its use on
  128. one stand-alone computer system for evaluation purposes only.
  129.  
  130. (2) You must ensure that the copyright notices contained in the Software are
  131. reproduced and included in any copy of the Software.
  132.  
  133. (3) This licence expires after 60 days from the date which you received the
  134. Software. You must then delete and destroy the Software and Documentation
  135. and all copies you have.
  136.  
  137. You may not:
  138.  
  139. (i) copy only part of the Software; (ii) incorporate any part of the Software
  140. into other programs developed or used by you; (iii) alter any part of the
  141. Software; (iv) alter any part of the Documentation; or (v) copy the
  142. Documentation or any part thereof, unless it is included with all the
  143. parts of the supplied Software.

  145. 3. Term
  146.  
  147. This licence remains in effect unless you terminate it:
  148.  
  149. (1) by destroying all copies of the Software, and the Documentation,
  150. including the original, or
  151.  
  152. (2) by failing to comply with the Conditions
  153.  
  154. 4. Disclaimer of Liability
  155.  
  156. (1) The Software is supplied "as is"; Kasoft do not provide any warranty,
  157. whether express or implied, as to the merchantability of the Software or its
  158. fitness for any particular purpose.
  159.  
  160. (2) In no circumstances shall Kasoft be liable for any damage, loss of
  161. profit, goodwill or for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your
  162. use, or your inability to use, the Software, even if Kasoft has been advised
  163. of the possibility of such loss.

  165. 5. General
  166.  
  167. These conditions supersede any prior oral or written agreements between
  168. you and Kasoft relating to the Software, unless overridden by specific
  169. clauses in those agreements.
