  11.   This is the regularly posted list of archive servers that contain files
  12. related in any way to Acorn computers, i.e. the Atom, BBC, Electron,
  13. Archimedes, R-series, PocketBook, Risc PC and maybe some even rarer types
  14. of machines. Mainly it's about the Archimedes and Risc PC, though.

  24.   There is also a list with answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on the
  25. Acorn newsgroups. It is called the "Comp.Sys.Acorn FAQ List Posting", and the

  28.   Up-to-date copies of this list, and of the FAQ, are, amongst others,
  29. available at the archive site rtfm.mit.edu (18.181.0.24). Please retrieve
  30. an up-to-date copy if you're reading this on CD-ROM or another non-volatile
  31. medium.
  32.   The name under which a FAQ is archived appears in the Archive-name line
  33. at the top of the article. This list is archived as acorn/archives, the FAQ
  34. has as name acorn/faq . There's also a mail server on that machine: if you
  35. want to retrieve the latest version of this list, send an e-mail message
  36. to mail-server@rtfm.mit.edu containing, without the quotes, the text
  37. "send usenet/news.answers/acorn/archives" in the message body.

  46.   This article lists the name of every interesting archive i know of, as well
  47. as the type of files it contains, its numeric address in the case of Internet
  48. ftp servers and Janet pads, and the email address of the maintainer, if known.
  49.   Below that follows a list of the directories to look for with a short
  50. description of their contents.
  51.  
  52.   Below the main list are three short sections which list the Acorn WWW sites,
  53. tell you how to use Internet ftp by e-mail (using the ftpmail service), and
  54. give information about Internet access from Janet.

  56.   When requesting files from servers, always try to use a server that is as
  57. near as possible to you. And keep in mind that the people running these things
  58. are doing you a favour, so please don't abuse their services.
